Mounting metallography

The coating of a metallographic sample in a resin has two main objectives:
- Polishing manual: facilitate gripping of the sample
- Polishing machine: combine several samples in a sample holder in optimum conditions tightening.

The coating metallographic sample can limit the edge effects during the polishing stage.
The resin will be chosen to be adapted to the hardness of the material to be polished in order to allow consideration of the periphery of the metallographic sample.

Different resins are available to perform a quality polishing
- Resins cold that save time and are quick to implement.
- Resins hot for a minimum withdrawal during the polishing phase.
